Finally she came out, suitcases dragging behind her, and we met for the first time.Dr. Rebecca Diaz came to Lebanon to assist us in our TNR program and help train local vets to be able to spay/neuter young kittens and puppies.

My name is Truman and I am a Husky born in early 2008.
I got my name from the movie ‘Eight Below’, although unlike the movie my guardian never even came back for me.
I was first bought to be a guard dog at a cabin in the snowy mountains of Faraya. After a couple of weeks, I was abandoned and I was given to the concierge and he was supposed to take care of me. He soon decided he simply didn’t want me around and I was left to fend for myself.

The new year got off to a great start when the President of AL, Lana El-Khalil, became Lebanon’s Ambassador to World Animal Day.
World Animal Day was started in 1931, and has since grown into a worldwide movement for the benefit of all animals. Celebrated on October 4 of every year, World Animal Day works to acknowledge and be thankful of the way animals enrich our lives and the roles they play in our lives, while celebrating all animals and our relationship to them.
