    Wallace is a fighter. He is a big heart in a small, scruffy body. He is a dog who has suffered a traumatic series of events, but survived them through pure will and determination to live.

    It begins on a rainy Lebanon winter evening as Elias, an Animals Lebanon supporter, was driving home from work on a rainy Lebanon winter evening.     Animals Lebanon closes down zoo

    After a month of negotiating with the owner, Animals Lebanon was finally able to close down one of the worst zoos in Lebanon and give the animals the care they so desperately need. On Friday, 13 February, we rescued nearly 40 animals.

    We need your help now to care for these animals. They all need a place to live - whether in a sanctuary, rehabilitated and returned to nature, or adopted into homes – vet care and proper food. read more

    Joey - rescued from the zoo

    Joey was rescued from terrible zoo along with so many other animals on February 13, 2009. After being chained up and abused, he is now with Animals Lebanon getting all the love and care he needs.

    We don’t know how long Joey was there, but he was starving just like all the other animals. He was left under the rain and out in the cold, chained up near the zoo entrance and used as a 'guard dog.' read more
