    Coming together to find homes for so many animals

    The month of February was full of happy endings for so many animals. While AL worked tirelessly rescuing animals – almost 40 animals from the zoo and more than a dozen more cats and dogs – we still managed to get 32 animals adopted in one month!

    All of these adoptions are thanks to the networking of devoted people in Lebanon, Holland, Belgium and the United States. read more

    Animals Lebanon was finally able to close down a zoo in early February and rescue nearly 40 animals from this terrible place - most have found permanent homes already.

    A loving mother, a loyal friend, Milky and her puppies were a source of daily joy for most of the residents in the area. They fed her on regular basis, brought their children to play with her, and considered her to be a dog everyone in the area could get to love and enjoy.

    Rescued monkeys make it to sanctuary

    Having been with us for nearly two months, Chewy, Stany and Moyale were finally flown on Friday, 3 April to the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary in the UK.

    After suffering in the zoo for years with inadequate food and care, in tiny cages under the winter rains and scorching summer sun, Animals Lebanon is finally giving these monkeys the second chance at life they so deserve. read more
