Beirut Governor bans sale of chicks

Governor of Beirut Judge Ziad Chbib bans the selling of chicks in Beirut!

The decision forbids the selling of chicks, particularly colored chicks, to protect both children and animals.

Chicks are colored, kept under the sun with no food or water, and sold for as little as 1,000 lira.

This decision can help prevent the suffering and neglect that these chicks endure at the time they are colored, when they are sold, and then finally when they are abandoned by the people who bought them.

Thank you to Governor of Beirut Judge Ziad Chbib for this great humane initiative!

This is only the start of improvements within the Beirut Municipality and we expect to make many more announcements in the coming months.
