We first found Kira and Big Mama nine months ago, and started preparations for the flight three weeks ago. Finally, all the hard work paid off as Kira and Big Mama are finally in a sanctuary.
A loving mother, a loyal friend, Milky and her puppies were a source of daily joy for most of the residents in the area. They fed her on regular basis, brought their children to play with her, and considered her to be a dog everyone in the area could get to love and enjoy.
Animals Lebanon was finally able to close down a zoo in early February and rescue nearly 40 animals from this terrible place - most have found permanent homes already.
Having been with us for nearly two months, Chewy, Stany and Moyale were finally flown on Friday, 3 April to the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary in the UK.
After a month of negotiating with the owner, Animals Lebanon was finally able to close down one of the worst zoos in Lebanon and give the animals the care they so desperately need. On Friday, 13 February, we rescued nearly 40 animals.
