I run for animals!

Animals Lebanon was chosen as a partner charity of the Beirut Marathon for the previous two years, and we are proud to again be part of the 2011 Beirut marathon.

More than 30,000 people are expected to turn out on 27 November for Lebanon's biggest community event of the year. There will be a full 42 km marathon, a 1 km Run With Mom, a relay race, 10 km fun run and more.

Last year more than 600 people join together to support Animals Lebanon by taking part in the races, and this year with your help we will have an even bigger team!

'I am running for animal welfare laws' is this years theme, and all funds raised through the marathon will support our campaign to enact national animal welfare and protection legislation. As we work with the government to campaign for our draft law, and your support can help make sure the law is quickly enacted.

We will also have a team of volunteers managing a water station for the race, cheering all of the runners on and passing out water and refreshments.

The registration process is quick and simple, and we are ready to help get you signed up and be part of the fun events leading up to race day. As an added bonus, when you register with Animals Lebanon the Beirut Marathon will donate part of the registration fees back to Animals Lebanon.

There are already more than enough reasons to run, but here is one more - Animals Lebanon will be giving a surprise to each of the first 50 people that sign up!

Register now by calling 01-751678 or email contact@animalslebanon.org - the deadline for registration in 6 November.

It's a fun day out for everyone while supporting your favorite cause!
