Animals Lebanon volunteer and vet student Ramona Jazopolo just returned from training at The Mayhew.
Ramona traveled from Beirut to London to take part in a three week training program offered by The Mayhew Animal Home's international training program. Among many other things, they offer training to overseas veterinarians and vet students.
So many of the public requests we receive are people desperately seeking qualified vets to care for their cats and dogs. Improving the quality of veterinary services available to the community is a major part of improving animal welfare. We have brought many foreign vets to offer training locally, but this is the first time we were able to send someone internationally to such a great place. Good luck Ramona and all of the veterinary students that will graduate soon - the animals are counting on you!
