This week Animals Lebanon will be part of this uplifting social event. The Garden Show management sponsored the stand for AL, and their generosity gives us great exposure to the thousands of people who come to the five day outdoor event.
This April, Animals Lebanon joined more than 40 other NGOs and community groups to participate in in the 'Volunteer Day' event help at AUB - the American University of Beirut.
As Lebanon embarks into this historic era of peace, a great space is opening for the movements that develop a nation and make it a progressive one. We are on the verge of democratic elections, road safety regulations are coming into place to protect citizens, and now, more than ever, civil society is engaged in healthy discourse.
The month of February was full of happy endings for so many animals. While AL worked tirelessly rescuing animals ? almost 40 animals from the zoo and more than a dozen more cats and dogs ? we still managed to get 32 animals adopted in one month.
To continue to secure our place as a leading NGO, Animals Lebanon recently welcomed three new advisers. Each bringing the passion, expertise and talent to move Animals Lebanon forward, our advisers are community leaders who recognize how important animals are to every one of us.
AL team would like to share with you a true and live experience of one of our founders Joelle Kanaan, and beloved cat, Captain Hook? I had written to my dear and amazing friend in Holland, Agnes, to help me find homes for some of the cats at the shelter.
